Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my 365 blog!

{If you'd like to visit my portrait photography website, click here.}

I'm a mom of 2 kids and have been a photographer for over 4 years. I decided to task myself with doing a 365 {or rather 366} photo project for 2012. I will take a photograph every day, with my "big girl camera". It will mostly be about my life, portrayed artistically. I want to challenge myself creatively and try new things. I'm excited about where this project will take me and I hope you will follow the journey with me!

5 Focus Photo Shoot Continued....

This is a picture of Cafe' Mae, which serves organic coffee and delicious healthy fare, including paninis and smoothies.

Below are a few of my favorite shots from the Kinesis workout photo session.

This is the clean, well-lit studio area where Kinesis, Yoga, and other classes are conducted.

Last, this was my favorite Yoga photo taken of their instructor, Kelly.

Photo Shoot at 5 Focus - June 23rd, 2008

I recently had the opportunity to do a commercial photo shoot at my friend's new holistic wellness center, 5 Focus.
5 Focus (www.5focus.com) is a new family-friendly holistic wellness center located in South Lake Union.  They offer mind-body excercise classes, healing therapies, and provide all types of wellness education and events.  Classes include Chi-Running and Walking, Coaching, Yoga, Kinesis, and therapy consultations including Fascial-Stretch Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Nutrition Consultation.  They also offer organic coffee and delicious healthy fare at Cafe Mae.

Laura Robinson, the owner, therapist, nutritionist, and mother of one, put together a superb staff, and didn't scrimp on the details. Besides the great fitness/therapy offerings, she solved the problem many mothers face as we juggle raising kids and finding time to workout.

As a mom of two, I was happy to hear they just opened their daycare so I can enjoy my workouts while knowing my kids are enjoying themselves.  In addition to their daycare, they now offer a few "happy families" classes like:  Children's Movement, Imagination & Mindefulness classes and camps.  They make the entire workout and cafe experience convenient by also providing a changing area, high-chairs, and booster seats.

In my next blog, see a few more pictures of their beautiful new studio and cafe, as well as some of my favorites from the photo shoot.

Thank you, Laura, for giving me the opportunity to shoot photos for your website and artwork.  It was a great experience!
